What the Press said ...

From Hungary and The Unbending Trees comes this week song recommendation "You are A Lover". A sensitive, touching song about the burdens of Friendship and Love. I played this song on yesterday's show and the response was overwhelming (apostolos varnas, republic radio)

Rather magical music ... (Rob Da Bank, BBC Radio One)

Songs that could easily sound the same stand out from one another because of the obvious care with which they have been crafted and while from time to time all the introspection and heart ache can seem a little indulgent, the evening emerges relatively unscathed, a triumph of heartfelt simplicity. (Jon Fletcher, New Noise)

Really enjoyed it. What an interesting act - are they doing any more gigs or were they just over for a flying visit? I particularly liked the song after A Whiter Shade of Pale where the vocals were a little deeper, and the one in Hungarian. Oh, and the self-pity one to close, the first line of which I was humming to myself on the bus home. I'd be interested to hear how the intensity of that performance translates when committed to tape... (Molloy Woodcroft, Observer)

Pretty wonderful. Will play on the evening show (Jim Gellatly, Xposure XFM Scotland.)

Lush and regretful. Just how I like it! Let's talk about a live when they come over Jx (Joe Shooman, Live Reviews Ed, The Fly Magazine)

Pretty astounding- what a voice (Paul Artrocker)

Lovely stuff...all charcoal grey clouds, naked trees and big empty boulevards. (Simon Fandango)

Beautiful. Sounds very Scandinavian. Specialists should support (Jeff Smith, Radio 2)

Like it a lot - quite dark, but I'm sure we'll be able to support (Leona McCambridge, Gideon Coe, BBC 6) Music

Very lovely, if a bit maudlin (Julia Allen/ Stuart Maconie Radio 2)

More questions asked than answered, these songs may as well come from another, darker world. (cemj)
